 The Honorary Consulate of Romania in Geneva has jurisdiction over the district which includes the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Jura, Neuchâtel, Friborg and Valais. The Consulate's mission is the development of political, economic and cultural relations with Romania as well as the protection of Romanian interests in its region. The operations of the Honorary Consulate of Romania are subject to international public laws, governed by the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963.  

The Consulate is not entitled to issue Romanian passports and visas or other administrative documents (such as passports, birth and marriage certificates etc).
